30 Days of Thanks- Days 21 & 22

Today I am Thankful for

God's Love !

John 3:16New International Reader's Version (NIRV)16 “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life."

Really, I have been thinking of what I am thankful for all day. As tomorrow is Thanksgiving a ton of things easily run through my mind (family, friends, my husband's job, my son, my health, money, food, happiness, shelter, etc). I could jot them all down..I could run and shout for the rest of the year and still not have thanked God enough. With God's love where would I be today ? I am most thankful for God's love, unending, unlimited, massive, love. Without that nothing else, nothing , would even be possible.  Can you believe that he loved you,the sinners, the saints, me, them, us, so so so much that he allowed his son to endure physical, mental, emotional, suffering. So that we all have a chance to be saved and experience an eternal life in heaven with him.

God I am thankful for all you do. For loving me so much. For your protection, your guidance, your plans, your hand in it all. God I thank you for living within me so that I may know the greater goodness of your spirit and walk toward your purpose for my life.

~Thankful and Blessed~

What are you Thankful for today ? Glamour Girl Book Review

Have you ever thought that you needed a head to toe makeover? It would be nice to get a new hair do, clothes, and even make up. All stay at home moms (SAHM) like myself probably daydream about a make over to look and feel fabulous from time to time. BUT have you ever thought of a inside out makeover. Recently, I was able to read a great perspective on receiving an ultimate make over from whom else but our Creator.  This great view in how to be a better you is, Glamour Girl by Megan Mottley.

In this eye-opening look at beauty, Megan pinpoints the characteristics that God views as attractive in us and highlights how we can strive toward these characteristics.  Once we have a soul that is aligned with Godly living can we truly have the ultimate makeover experience.

I felt that this book appeals to women in various stages in their walk with God. It can be uplifting for both women who are separated from God and those who are striving each day to walk by his side. In addition, there are self-discovery and self-evaluation quizzes to help the readers dig a little digger and really look at themselves in the mirror to find those areas that need a little more attention.

Mixing practical beauty tips with scriptures, Megan uses her experience and calling to help other women to find their most beautiful self.  I recommend  this book to those who seek to  discover how they can become a woman of beauty inside and out.

Megan was kind enough to allow me to have a copy of her book in return for a honest review. This review is my personal opinion.

With his love, he will calm all your fears- Wednesday Spiritual Encouragement

For the LORD your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty savior. He will rejoice over you with great gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will exult over you by singing a happy song. Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT)

Our relationship with our Spouse could be perfect. However, our worry about our job, day-to-day life, finances, children, etc can cause us to have anxiety that could affect our relationship with our spouse.

God doesn’t want us to worry but to have hope for tomorrow. When we are overwhelmed with our job, a bill, a health issue, we should first take these issues to God. Pray and seek hope. God will gladly fight for us.

When we connect with our spouse leave the anxiety of the issues behind and not allow these problems to enter into your household to cause tension within your home. Speaking to you spouse about your issues is very different than taking your issues “out” on your spouse. I am sure we all know of people who allow their work problems to cause fights at home. Let’s all take an effort to leave the stress and negativity of these issues at the door before we enter our home.

In addition, pray for or with your spouse that these stressful events will cease and God will give you peace as well as hope. Something better will happen, that issue at work with resolve, those bills will get paid. God wants us to focus on him and when we do the world can not harm us.

How do you and your spouse handle separting life stress from your relationship ?

I hope that through this scripture you and your spouse are encouraged have hope that God will calm your fears and give you hope for whatever battle you are facing. I encourage you to Pray together and Seek God together if you are seeking your “Loving Lasting Marriage.
